Definition:
acrodynia (Greek, acrodynia = painful
extremities) chronic mercury poisoning in infants and
young, also called "Pink
Disease" occurred throughout the world
(Australia 1890's) before the recognition of mercurys
toxic effects. Mercurous chloride was used in
"teething powders" which were given to crying
babies as a purgative agent to cleanse the system.
